1.0 - Taken off the computer before anyone could do any damage with it!
2.0 - Some trivial script problems were fixed, as was an ICON conflict and some misspellings. The extra area code feature was added. The old finder button and home button were merged into one, and a compact button with an auto compact feature was added. After some tinkering, the display matching feature was added. The main contribution to this stack was the addition of over 42,200 ZIP codes, taken from a public USPS database.
2.1 - An important fix in the display matching and time zone scripts, the addition of 1,236 ZIP codes from the 1990 World Almanac and about 70 new international cards, and the stack now shows its name and version number on the main cards. A little more twiddling with the scripts, also, and a new ICON for the stack. A new registration card was added for the convenience of the user, and the find feature was improved, along with arrow key functions.
2.2 - An incredible error in the time zone script was fixed. A small bug in the selective find was fixed, so now area codes can be found without error. Many scripts were changed to minimize finding time and errors, and small decorative improvements were made throughout the stack. Find topics were also added to make help a bit easier to find, as well as a much better Area/Zip Codes Stack link button. Major additions to the database won't be made until 1992, when information from the 1990 census will be made more readily available.
3.0 - Everything was revamped with no script left unturned! Small background bugs and script inconsistencies were fixed. Palettes and a new world map with 61 locations were added, as well as new open dialogs, help dialogs, PICT alerts, and changes in the way the stack stores its information and finds. More importantly, exporting was added for those with databases.
3.1 - Over 200 new international locations were added and the Compact button now displays the stack's size. A fix eliminates most potential errors in the dialog help. Slight cosmetic improvements. The Help section was completely redone in dialogs, as was the documentation - *again*. A new Area/ZIP menu and key commands were added. Use of the maps now looks nicer. World map selection is faster. New area code info. Palettes now keep their locations. The menubar now appears on large-screened Macs. The found occurrences field can now be printed. Scrolling can be done quickly as an option. More printing options. Better cursors. The stack now links well to applications. Scripts were tightened and the exported file's creator can now be changed. Cards can be exported. The Area/ZIP button tells you if it can't be pasted. Improved time zone script now accepts area codes. Daylight Savings Time is checked for! Some script interrupts are now trapped. Some dialogs were changed to provide easier operation and better System 7.x compatibility. Sorry, but 2.x and older versions of this stack are no longer supported! Finally, new ZIP code information from the 1992 Almanac was added. Much more new ZIP and country info should be added in 1993.
